All better now!

Zachary is now well enough to steal my camera and take his own picture. Somehow the peevish princess did not catch the virus. I think it may have been something she was vaccinated against. Either that or the 10+ months of breastfeeding made her super human. Either way, I wish I was so lucky!

Poor Poor Zachary

Zachary earned his first two stitches the other day. He fell off of the Leapfrog table (he was just sitting on it) and hit his face on his toy fire department. It wasn't the worst cut ever, but it was pretty deep and right by his eye, so Jeremy took him up to the ER in the ambulance (he was on duty and happened to be in the area with the rig when I called him). Z loved it so much he insisted on being brought home by ambulance as well.

We have all been suffering from a nasty sinus thing all week. Today Z upped the ante by coming down with a stomach virus. He has thrown up several times already.

He is very pitiful right now...stitches on his face, black eye, runny nose, and throwing up. Poor little bunny.

11 Month Pictures

At 11 months we finally have teeth!

Still Tiny, but growing!

Well, ignoring that doctor and doing my own thing seems to be working!

Julie is up to 14 lbs, 13 ounces, and 27 1/2 inches at 11 months.

Still ridiculously small, but she grew half and inch and half a pound, which is slow but steady growth. The doctor said she is petite, but he isn't worried about her growth pattern anymore. I think it helps that as of 4 days ago she is completely on formula (from a sippy cup) so I was able to tell him exactly how much she drinks and eats. He was just fine with her eating real people food of course.

So, hopefully this is the end of weight checks and doctors hassling me. She still has to go back in a month of course, for her 12 month check-up and shots.

Pictures!

Some Pictures from our Christmas photoshoots.

The Tiny Princess

I really need to catch up here!

Little Miss Julie just turned ten months last week. She had a weigh-in, which she has every month, due to her failure to thrive.

Current Stats:

Weight: 14 lbs, 4 oz.
Height: 27 inches
Head cir: 17 1/8

That is up from 13 lbs, 9 oz, 26 1/4 inches at 9 months.

Unfortunately we saw a different doctor than the one I like, and this woman was pretty bitchy. She said Julie's whole problem is I don't feed her enough. That mixing formula powder in her cereal could never work because it would make it too thick. That Julie shouldn't be on any table food, just cereal and the Gerber dinners(meat and vegtables). That would be fine except she won't eat them and I don't blame her.

But at least she is growing, even if it is still slower than normal. She has another weight check in a month. She may be tiny, but she is developing on or ahead of normal! She can stand up without pulling up, and we expect her to walk anyday now.

Showing off the redhead

Welcome Baby Julianna!

Life is busy with two kids!

Baby Julianna arrived at 10:44pm on Groundhog's Day, February 2nd. The labor was short, only 5 hours compared to Zachary's 16 plus hours. The epidural worked this time, and it was heavenly. Only 4 or 5 pushes and she was born. It probably helped that she was nearly a pound and a half lighter than her brother was! She was 7 lbs, 3 oz and 20.5 inches.

She is still a petite little princess, although she is growing fast. She has started smiling and cooing. Her big brother adores her :)

Most importantly she sleeps 6 hours straight in a nice 11pm-5am block every night!

Zachary's Baby Sister

Baby Version 2.0 is almost complete. She is due in 3 weeks and 5 days. Everything is looking great, and my midwife is confident that she is smaller than Zachary was (he was 8.5 lbs, 22 inches, born at 39 weeks).

I spent today hauling baby things down from the attic, sorting through little baby clothes and setting up the baby cradle. We are nearly ready, in a physical sense anyway.

Photos From New Year's Eve

Zachary in his new bike helmet....he loves this thing, he got it for Christmas and insists on wearing it nearly everyday :)

Playing Playstation 2 with the boys:

I have dozens of nearly identical pictures of him playing Playstation, he was totally engrossed in the car racing game. His controller wasn't actually attached to anything :)

Just a cute picture of Zach on Jeremy ;)

Christmas Then and Now

Zachary 2004 (3 months old at time of photo)

Zachary 2005 (16 months old at time of photo)

They grow up so fast :(

A Toy to Drive Everyone Crazy

I am sitting here on the computer, typing this post, and instead of happily playing Zachary is repeatedly throwing a toy in my lap. It is an older Fisher Price toy, about 8 inches high with marble sized beads in it. The idea is you flip it over and the beads trickle down through the levels and a good time is had by all.

Unforunately, Zachary is under the impression that the beads are edible. He is furthur convinced that mommy can open the toy and give him the yummy beads, but is being mean.

So, he throws toy at mommy, then throws a fit screaming IIIISSSSSS (please).

Anyone want a toy full of yummy beads?

Sometimes Life Gets in the Way

Of keeping blogs updated ;)

I will try to remember to do this more often, although I don't think anyone actually reads this.

We are having a baby girl! For now we are calling her Julianna Marie. Just 11 weeks to go!

Zachary turned 16 months old yesterday. He is 22 pounds and 33 inches tall, so very tall and skinny. He has learned to sing the theme song from CSI, can point to his nose, ears, teeth and belly on command, and has long involved conversations on his play telephone. His vocabulary is up to about 30 words. He is as cute and charming as ever!

16 weeks down, 24 weeks to go...

Until Zachary's baby sibling arrives!

I had a appointment with my midwife today. Everything looks fine, although I did get in a bit of trouble for somehow managing to lose 5 pounds so far this pregnancy. Let me mention this has never been an issue before! I also haven't been sick at all, not even once, and I eat regular meals....but I have never been the mother of a toddler before.

Our big ultrasound is scheduled for September 14th, which happens to be Jeremy's 25th birthday. We will hopefully be able to find out if Zachary is getting a baby sister or brother. Jeremy is hoping for a boy, because he is afraid he will worry to much about his precious daughter :) Personally I would love to have a girl, our family is overrun with boys! We will be happy either way of course :)

My Baby is a Toddler Now!

Zachary is now a one year old! Wow, that first year goes by fast!

Zachary has been walking well for a few weeks now, and is quite the little climber. I am pulling him off of my dining room table several times a day.

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Here are his professional birthday pictures.....

Zachary's First Yankees Game!

Our streak continued, the Yankees won while we were there....in 5 years of going to games we have never seen them lose :) They should buy us season tickets.

Anyway, Zach did very well. He wanted to get down most of the time, since he hates being held, but we made it through 4 innings before we decided to go, because Zachary was so tired. Since the game took over 4 hours, 4 innings was a long time and we had gotten there early. Zach did get a Derek Jeter t-shirt....it is a Youth XL so it may be 10 years before he fits into it...I think I could wear it.

Now pictures :)

Zach and Daddy

Flirting with the lady sitting behind us

Watching the game

A rare family portrait - Zachary can hardly contain his excitment ;)

Enjoy :)

Mommy's Little Towhead

Zachary got his first real haircut today, not counting the trim I did before Easter....his hair would have been down over his nose by now :)

Some before pictures to show why a haircut was necessary....

Dont let Jeremy see this one ;)

After Haircut:

I was shocked to discover my boy is a blond! He has had brown hair his whole life, but apparently the roots were platinum blond!

11 Month Achievements

I have been really bad at this lately.

Here goes, Zach's recent accomplishments:

He can walk about 4 feet on his own, taking 5-6 steps.
He waves and says HI!
He can stand up without pulling up on anything.
He loves to crawl up to the dog and snuggle his head down on him....Max is terrified when he does this and stays perfectly still.

I think that is about it for now, he is just a lot of fun at this age!

I guess everything won't be about Zachary anymore....

This is where I hope nobody other than unrelated internet strangers reads this blog....

We are expecting our second baby! Zachary will be a big brother in the beginning of February!

Now, this is very suprising, I suppose condoms aren't as effective as I was lead to believe....now if only my husband and I can find jobs and some sort of health coverage we will be all set.
